French and British forces will encamp in the Great Meadows at Fort Necessity National Battlefield.
Reenactment groups include Compagnie Franches de la Marines du Contrecoeur, Trent's Company, Maryland Forces, and Higlanders will be available throughout the day to answer questions about their equipment and supplies.
The day will include special programs at and demonstrations. Visitors will be able to tour the authentic encampment of soldiers and watch historic weapons demonstrations.

“MR. TROMBONE,”HAROLD BETTERS, is a remarkable man who has enjoyed a career spanning over four decades and is admired and respected by fellow musicians, friends, and fans nation-wide.
With over a dozen albums and CD’s to his credit, Harold can be heard on jazz radio stations and in many area clubs.
Harold has performed with Louis Armstrong who described his sound as “rich and honest.” Other musicians he has worked with include Al Hirt, Slide Hampton, Ramsey Lewis, and Urbie Green. The Harold Betters Quartet toured with Ray Charles and appeared with comedian, Dick Gregory, at New York’s Apollo Theater.

Long ago this area was home to settlers who built small farms that had their own coal mines for its energy needs. This practice had an effect on the water quality of the streams and river in this watershed. Along the trail we will test some of the streams for acid mine drainage and view several waterfalls. This is a difficult 3 mile hike.

Shelly McCombie has been performing in the Tri-State Area for over 40 years. Shelly began performing in local clubs at the age of 13 in a family group called the McRobs. The McRobs consisted of her father, her sister Valerie, her Uncle Mel, her cousin Lenny, and a good friend, Ruth McKnight. While attending Penn State and California University, receiving her Bachelors Degree in Education, Shelly would make it home every weekend to play music.

Wizdom World Beat Reggae Band is the BRAINCHILD of Earrol Williams aka The Wizard for the MAGICAL way he captivates his audience. Born in Kingston Jamaica he came to the US in 1991. Already a established artist in his home country with hits such as If You Should Leave Me(1980) and Diamond Queen Earrol formed Wizdom soon after arriving here. Wizdom has been voted Best Reggae Band by former radio station WAMO four years in a row.

Join us in Ohiopyle, where we are surrounded by the Laurel Highland’s fly-fishing paradise. A short cast out the back door will land in the Youghiogheny River, and a long cast out the front door will land in Meadow Run. Within the boundaries of Ohiopyle State Park, you can choose from more than 25 miles of fishable water.
